The department of basic science consists of the following sections: Biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, anatomy, histology & embryology. The focus of the department is teaching and research in different fields of basic veterinary science including teaching the courses to provide the essentials base for learning physiopathology of different diseases. The department of basic science comprises the following laboratories: biochemistry, pharmacology, anatomy, histology & anatomy. Along with their training objectives, the department is active in wide range of the research programs. This department is also actively involved in post-graduate programs including M.Sc. and Ph.D. comparative histology and physiology. and also, M.Sc program for Clinical biochemistry & Toxicology.
