The academic members in the department of clinical science are actively involved in research and education in the following areas: large and small animal internal medicine, veterinary surgery, radiology, theriogenology and reproductive diseases, poultry disease and clinical pathology. Currently, the clinic in the department acts as a reference center for diagnosis and treatment of disease in domestic animals and poultry. At present, the department offers for D.V.S.c degree in large animal internal medicine, surgery, Veterinary Midwifery & reproductive diseases and clinical pathology has been offered by the department.

The department of basic science consists of the following sections: Biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, anatomy, histology & embryology. The focus of the department is teaching and research in different fields of basic veterinary science including teaching the courses to provide the essentials base for learning physiopathology of different diseases. The department of basic science comprises the following laboratories: biochemistry, pharmacology, anatomy, histology & anatomy. Along with their training objectives, the department is active in wide range of the research programs. This department is also actively involved in post-graduate programs including M.Sc. and Ph.D. comparative histology and physiology.
